BarQR is built on parts of Android that do the sensitive work for it, so there is nothing to allow.

  • Camera Not requested

    Google Play services opens the camera and hands BarQR only the decoded result.

  • Photos and videos Not requested

    Android's photo picker gives BarQR just the one photo you choose.

  • Files and storage Not requested

    Saved codes go to Pictures/BarQR through Android's media store, which needs no permission.

Every code in a picture gets a green outline. Draw a box around a tiny one and BarQR zooms in to read it.
